Zayn Malik – One Direction – Biography

REAL NAME: Zain Jawaad Malik 

A member of the highly popular boyband One Direction, Zayn Malik is a Pakistani descent Britisher. Coming from West Lane, Baildon in Bradford, Malik first appeared on an audition for the UK TV reality talent show The X-Factor. He first auditioned solo and when he was selected, he was put in bootcamp where he stayed behind the scenes due to a fear of dancing. Only when Simon Cowell went backstage and talked to him, did he make an appearance. Shortly after this he was enrolled in One Direction with Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles and Niall Horan. Born on 12th January, 1993, this pop phenomenon is highly stylish and a very integral part of the band’s success.

Throughout his childhood, he was always bound to be a handful because of his tendency to be hyperactive. The singing star sports several tattoos which are his way of symbolizing his beliefs and respecting his ancestors. These tattoos include a peace symbol on his right hand, a yin-yang symbol on his left hand, the name of his grandfather on his chest written in Arabic and another tattoo on his stomach. His romantic life is constantly under scrutiny and in November 2011, his four month relationship with Rebecca Ferguson, an X-Factor contestant came to an end. It was the end of a controversial relationship as she was six years older to him. Recent speculations indicate that he is dating star of the Little Mix band Perrie Edwards, as One Direction band members claim he is on ‘Poo’ terms with. When questioned about plans for Valentine’s Day, he chose to remain mysterious and said he may or may not have a date on Valentine’s Day. As such, the nation’s spotlight remains to be on his choice of date.

The band which is currently in on a tour through America to mark the release of their album is seeing massive a fan following throughout their appearance venues. With the huge success of the band and now a rising pressure to continually deliver to their fans, Malik takes his role in the band very seriously. Armed with good looks and a great voice, the star is quickly becoming a heartthrob throughout countries. His fans can be found all over America and Europe. He also remains to be very private about his personal life and chooses not to take names of his dates in public. Achieving such fame and stardom so early on in life, he also remains humble and down to earth and is a very valued part of the band. A good friend and a very faithful person, Zayn Malik is among the most talked of all his band members simply because of his attractive personality and his killer looks. His relationship with Rebecca Ferguson ended on very amicable terms. He is currently back in the UK to be with his family after the passing of his aunt.

Several rumors continue to remain rampant about his dating life which say that he may have been dumped by Perrie Edwards but he does not comment on these rumors.
